Colt conducted rigorous technical tests before supplying a bespoke solar shading system to the Munich-based headquarters of Infineon AG, the global producer of semi-conductors and systems solutions.

Infineon’s twelve office and laboratory buildings occupy a site as big as 90 football pitches. Colt’s tailor-made solar shading louvers consisted of 13,000 m² of fixed louvers and more than 2,500 m² of controllable louver modules in 634 special sliding units. The cross section, colour, length, and surface of the louvers were matched to the external Venetian blinds.

Moveable solar shading adjusts according to the weather, providing an optimum balance of shading and glare-free daylight.
